For over thirty years, while
staying true to its philosophy, Tai-Ch'uan-Tao (TCT) has been
creating sport karate champions. To date, with over thirty state
and world champions it continues to do so. Many famed sport
karate teams have benefited from Tai-Ch'uan-Tao's impressive
techniques and style. to have one talented individual is a
reflection on them, but to have many, that is a reflection on
its instructor and its system. Two years in the making, this is
the first official book on Tai-Ch'uan-Tao's system, principals,
practice, and beginning techniques. Past member of the World
Tae-Kwon-do Federation and the founder of Tai-Ch'uan-Tao is
master Cheng Lu. An eighth Dan on the art of Tae Kyon Tae Kwon
Do, and a disciple of Chinese Short boxing, Northern Shaolin
Kung-Fu, Tai-Chi, Eagle Claw, Snake & Crane styles and Chang
Chuan, and is a past instructor of the Taiwanese Special Forces.
During his extensive training, Master Lu found that blending and
redirecting rather than stopping and interception, to be a much
more efficient and effective system for actual combat situations
in both mental and physical strategies. Thus, the art of Tai-Ch'uan-Tao
was born. A personal disciple of Master Lu, Master Gabriel took
over the torch, creating the first American Tai-Ch'uan-Tao
school in the United States in 1978. In 1979 the American Tai-Ch'uan-Tao
Association was formed and TCT has been creating champions ever
since.
Continuing this tradition and bringing philosophy back into the
martial arts, in this all-inclusive book Si-fu Griffin and
Master Gabriel give you a thorough introduction into the Art of
Tai-Ch'uan-Tao. You will learn first hand what is meant by
"clearing the gate." You'll learn about our system, our basic
blocks, kicks, attacks, vital points and defensive techniques.
You'll also learn our first three forms, the requirements for
your next rank and much more! We invite you to see and learn for
yourself why Tai-Ch'uan-Tao continues to be an art that not only
helps you in combat but throughout your whole life.By John J.
Gabriel and Rod L. Griffin. Softcover. 129 pages.
